Liverpool plans on signing versatile midfielder

English Premier League giant, Liverpool has shown interest in another young star player Francesco Cassata of Italy. Liverpool scouts have been attracted by the performance of the 19-year old in Ascoli where he is playing on a loan deal.

Juventus signed the 19-year old Italian, Francesco Cassata from Empoli in a £1.3 million deal.

Francesco Cassata is a versatile and talented midfielder. The Italian youngster is capable of playing any position in the midfield but he plays best at the center of the field.

Although Francesco Cassata has only scored one goal in 19 appearances, he has played excellently in all his 19 games. He also provided crucial assists in his 19 appearances for Ascoli.

Although, Liverpool is interested in bringing him over to the Anfield, Liverpool would find it a little hard to bring the 19-year old midfielder to Anfield. Juventus considers the player a valuable asset and he has a contract with the team which would expire by 2018.

Liverpool football club as a potential title winner occupies the second position on the league table. They occupy the second position with a total of 44 points after playing 20 English PremierLeague games.

Liverpool is directly below fierce English Premier League rival Chelsea who occupies the first position with a total of 49 points from 20 league games. The Reds are followed by Tottenham Hotspur who is keen on taking over the second position from Liverpool.

Liverpool has played tough league rivals and they were able to win some of the games. Three of their next five matches would be against three tough league rivals including Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Reds would face Manchester United again on January 15 at Old Trafford. After their game against United, they would play Swansea City at Anfield on January 21.

Liverpool would host Chelsea football club at Anfield on Tuesday, January 31. After playing Chelsea the team would be hosted by Hull City before they play against Tottenham Hotspur on February 11.
