Arsenal is ready to make another offer for the Greek center back Kostas Manolas. The Gunners have showed a keen interest in the star defender and had made an initial offer for the player that was rejected by Roma.
Last summer, Arsenal offered Italian football champion Roma £34.6 million which was rejected without clear reasons. Arsenal went on to look for another player in his place. Arsenal’s interest in Manolas has not subsided as an improved bid has been sent to Roma.
Manolas brilliant performance for his country and club side continues to make him a player of interest for many clubs. Manchester United is not left out of the competition for the defender as they are looking forward to placing a bid for his services worth £47.6million.
The agent of the Greek defender made it clear that Kostas Manolas would not move over to play in China. He added that the top football leagues have better things to offer the 25-year old than the Chinese league.
Manolas started his football career about 13 years back when he started playing for Pannaxiakos football club. He played for Pannaxiakos for about four seasons between 2003 and 2007.
In 2007, the Greek defender moved to Thrasyvoulos where he played for two seasons and was admired by lots of people for his performance. He played for Thrasyvoulos between 2007 and 2009 before moving to AEK Athens.
Kostas Manolas played for AEK Athens football club for three seasons between 2009 and 2012. After playing for AEK Athens for three football seasons, AS Roma signed the 25-year old defender and he has played the team ever since.
Although the 25-year old star defender is not a goal scoring machine, he is characterized as an attentive, swift, power defender with high quality. He is not expected to remain with his current team for too long.
