Key striker set to sign a new contract with Arsenal

Arsenal striker, Olivier Giroud is ready to sign a new contract. He is willing to sign a new contract even though his present contract still has a year and half before it ends.

Giroud has been outstanding for Arsenal this season providing goals in very important matches for Arsenal. Olivier Giroud has been able to score in every of the last four games he played in.

He scored the winning goal in the last match against Preston in the FA Cup.

Giroud struck and scored with just seven minutes left in the game.

The first half of the game started and ended a threat for the Gunners before they came back just a minute into the second half.

With just one minute before the end of the first half, Giroud moved intelligently with the ball and scored a brilliant goal.

The equalizer goal boosted the team’s moral and they played well until the 89 minutes when the Gunners star added the winning goal.

Arsenal football club manager started the match with: D. Ospina, Gabriel Paulista, S. Mustafi, Nacho Monreal, A. Ramsey, G. Xhaka, A. Maitland-Niles, A. Oxlade-Chamberlain, O. Giroud, A.Iwobi and Lucas.

Arsene Wenger used the 4-5-1 formation to win the FA Cup match against Preston.

Olivier Giroud has been able to drive the ball before scoring in the past four games he has featured in.

He has played against West Brom, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth and Preston and repeated the same performance.

He helped his team get away with a win three times and also prevented them from losing by scoring an equalizer goal against Bournemouth to secure a draw.

The french man has been showed the yellow card two times this season, despite his impressive form.

Giroud has played in 110 English Premier League games scoring 63 goals. He has also manged to drive the ball into the goal post twelve times in a total of 12 FA Cup appearances.
