Michail Antonio has caught the attention of Chelsea team manager as Antonio Conte is interested in getting in more talented players to his side to solidify his side.
Conte is looking for new opportunities to improve his squad to boost his squad’s capabilities especially in the attack.
During the summer the Blues added a number of players to the squad, Michy Batshuayi, N’Golo Kante and David Luiz all came in.
Chelsea brought in these players to further strengthen the team’s midfield and back line, however, there was no signing done in the attacking midfield position.
According to current reports, it now looks like Chelsea have seen an attacking midfielder who they think will fit into their team for the rest of the season.
It is been reported that Antonio Conte is interested in West Ham star Michail Antonio making him his top transfer target in this January transfer window.
The in-form attacker has been in sensational form for West Ham United for the past two seasons. This season, he has scored eight goals and provided one assist in 19 league appearances for the Hammers.
According to reports, Antonio Conte thinks the 26-year-old will be an ideal player to fit into the right wing-back in his 3-5-2 system.
Antonio moved to West Ham from Nothingham Forest in a £7m transfer deal in 2015 and the club rewarded him with a new and improved deal that will keep him at the club till 2020 after a wonderful performance in his first season.
The West Ham attacker was instrumental when the Hammers defeated Chelsea 2-1 in the EFL Cup back in October.
Antonio Conte has since kept a close watch on the attacking midfielder and recently he has made inquiries concerning him from West Ham.
West Ham is asking for around £30m for Michail Antonio although they could also consider a swap deal if the Blues are willing to include a player in the deal.
