Chelsea target Fernando Llorente is reportedly is prepared to complete a move to Chelsea only if Blues boss Antonio Conte can grant him of his singular request.
It is an open secret that the English Premier League leader is considering making a move for the former Athletic Bilbao striker.
Antonio Conte is a huge fan of Llorente right from his time at Serie A side Juventus. Though it is unclear if Antonio Conte is considering a permanent move or loan deal for the 31 years old Swansea City striker, Conte is keen on securing his services.
The player is keen on a move to the West London club if only the Italian manager can assure him that he is only behind striker Diego Costa in the pecking order at the club and will have good playing time.
While speaking about Antonio Conte last week, Llorente said; “My experience in working with Conte at Juventus was fantastic, He is undoubtedly the best coach I have had in my professional career and my wish for him is the very best.”
A move for Llorente is likely to see summer recruit Michy Batshuayi to exit the club out on a loan deal the player’s disappointing showing with the Premier League outfit.
Swansea City has shown strong interest in Batshuayi but the player would rather remain with the West London club and move over to West Ham United on a loan deal for the remainder of the league season.
Antonio Conte admitted ahead of the winter transfer window that: ‘It is very important to talk with the club for sure. There are few positions that we need to focus on, it is very important for us to make a good decision about these key positions. It will not be easy but, to be very sincere, but we are in discussions about this.’
