Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is interested in securing the signature of West Ham United wing back Michail Antonio.
The Italian manager is eager to strengthen his full-back options in this January’s transfer window, and the 26-years old Michail Antonio is seen as the preferred choice for the wing-back position for the Blues manager.
Antonio Conte is also looking at 26 years old Cologne’s Jonas Hector as his preferred option on the left back role.
Conte believes the duo will provide stiff competition for Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses in the left and right back positions respectively, who have both featured for the English Premier League leaders this campaign.
Conte wants to improve his squad and provide the boost to maintain the lead in the Premier League and provide very good competition for other teams.
Michail Antonio is seen as a top priority for the London side and more reports is expected over the next few days about Chelsea’s move to secure his signature.
In related development, Chelsea recalled loanee Nathan Ake from Bournemouth. Nathan Ake was due to remain with Bournemouth for the 2016/2017 season but there is a clause in the player’s deal that permits Chelsea to recall him back to Stamford Bridge during the first seven days of the Winter transfer window.
The Blues only notified Bournemouth of their decision to recall Nathan Ake on short notice and ensured the decision was carried out swiftly.
West Ham United is also keen to snap Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi on a loan deal.
Club manager Slaven Bilic wanted to sign Batshuayi, before he opted to join Chelsea in a £33million transfer deal from Ligue 1 side Marseille.
The Hammers manager is set to reignite his interest in the Chelsea striker, who has not started a league game for Chelsea. SlavenBilic is keen on bringing Batshuayi to West Ham on loan.
