Chelsea midfielder Lucas Piazon who has been on loan at Fulham since the start of the season says he is close to extending his loan deal.
Lucas Piazon has played for Fulham in the English Championship after signing a short loan deal with them from Chelsea at the beginning of the season.
He has played well for the Championship side under manager Slavisa Jokanovic, and has scored four goals in a total of 15 appearances.
Following his social media comment, it’s been suggested that the young midfielder may want to extend his loan deal with the Championship club.
When asked by a fan on Twitter if he is would like to extend his deal, Piazon replied: “Almost there mate, hope to be done asap.”
Lucas Piazon who has only played for Brazil at the youth level has been a Chelsea player since the year 2011, during this period he has only played for the Blues once in the league and has been sent on loan to five different clubs.
The player seems to have made an impact at the Championship club since the start of the season and his manager at Fulham Jakonovic has been pleased with the Brazilian.
Recently the coach said: “Lucas Piazon, in the last few games, has started to be a very important player for us. He is a very fast player and has experience playing in this competition.
“Lucas Piazon played 23 games for Reading last season, so he didn’t need a lot of time to adapt himself, he was outstanding and very skillfull. We are happy with what he has offered in the last few games.”
As negotiations are still ongoing, it remains unclear at the moment if Fulham is willing to extend the player’s loan deal or they are planning to make the deal a permanent one.
