Real Madrid’s Star Wants Manchester United Switch

Real Madrid and Columbian star James Rodriguez has given out a ‘Come and carry me’ appeal to Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho

The Columbian forward, who has fallen out of favor with Real Madrid’s manager Zinedine Zidane, perceives Old Trafford as his next destination as he has resolved to leave his Spanish side, Real Madrid.

Colombia international James Rodriguez would love to make the switch during the current January transfer window, and the player’s agent Jorge Mendes is presently in discussions with Manchester United executive vice-chairman, Mr. Ed Woodward.

English leaders Chelsea and French champions Paris Saint-Germain are also among the admirers of the 25 year-old Columbian, though the Madrid star is tipped for a move to Manchester United.

During his reign at the Old Trafford club, former Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal made attempts to secure the services of the player, but his replacement at the club, Mourinho is not so keen as Louis Van Gaal on signing Rodriguez.

Mourinho is likely to make a change in his desire to sign the player if he let go of the midfield trio Marouane Fellaini , Morgan Schneiderlin, and Memphis Depay.

The ball is now in the court of Jose Mourinho, as Jorge Mendes maintains close watch over his fellow countryman for any new developments over his client Rodriguez.

The Columbian star James Rodriguez stated that: “Real Madrid is the club I dreamed about”, after he was given a rare start in the club’s midweek Copa del Rey game against fellow La Liga side Sevilla, and after scoring a brace in the match. Honestly, the true position is that is has been a terrifying experience for him under club manager Zidane and he now wants Mourinho and Manchester United to end his misery.

In another development, the Old Trafford side has stepped up their interest in goalkeeper keeper Alessandro Confente of Chievo Verona, scouts from Manchester United were already keeping close watch on the teenager before the arrival of manager Jose Mourinho in the summer.

The goalkeeper is working with his clubs senior squad but still involved in the Serie A club’s youth team. He is valued around £4m and contracted with his club until June 2019.
