Liverpool and Arsenal target Julian Draxler is about to complete a €45 million transfer to French giants PSG
German playmaker Julian Draxler is opting to sign for Paris Saint-Germain amidst rumors linking him to both Arsenal and Liverpool.
There have been many reports in France since the week began that the 23-year-old might be joining the French side, and those rumors seem to be real as it looks certain that the German will be moving to France.
The deal will see PSG pay an upfront sum of €35 million to Wolfsburg and a further €10 million based on appearances, victories, and other successes.
The German has been a prospect in Europe for many years. During his time at FC Shackle, he attracted many European giants including Real Madrid with his style of play.
He was however signed by Wolfsburg to replace Kevin De Bruyne who was then heading to Manchester City.
His time at Wolfsburg wasn’t impressive, and he often clashed with the staff of the German club which induced his move away from the club.
Because of his huge talent, Draxler has been able to attract many top teams in Europe and recently both Arsenal, and Liverpool have been paying close attention to his situation at Wolfsburg.
Arsene Wenger has been particularly open about his admiration for the 23-year-old German and spoke of his wish for him to succeed with both club and country.
Arsenal was expected to place a bid for the German, but their inability to match the financial might of the French club has cost them one of their top targets.
