Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has successfully changed the Reds into a team that plays fast attacking football.
While there have been incredible changes in the form the Reds are now compared with when we took over; it is vital for the side to add more depth to the squad.
The German coach uses a 4-1-2-3 or 4-3-3 formation in which he uses his three forwards to swap sides constantly; this makes him a fan of good attacking play style and makes him desirous for attacking players who are hard working and fast.
The African Cup of Nations will be coming up in January, and this means Klopp will be without one of his three forwards, Senegalese Sadio Mane who will be representing his home country at the tournament.
This means that the Liverpool manager will have to find a replacement for the African player.
James Milner is doing an excellent job at left back, but if he sustains any injury or gets suspended, there isn’t an alternative that can replace him in the squad. The same goes for the defensive midfield position where Jordan Henderson has done well so far this season, but it will do Liverpool a lot of good to find a reliable backup for the English international for the long term.
Taking note of the need to improve the squad, here are some of the players on Liverpool’s radar as we draw closer to the January transfer window.
- Quincy Promes
The Dutch international plays for Spartak Moscow in Russia and possesses pace, agility, vision and a sublime skill on the ball.
He will be 25 in January and can play anywhere across the forward line; he will surely be an excellent addition for Liverpool.
