Bayern slips to second as RP Leipzig wins again

RB Leipzig has regained number one position on the Bundesliga table after they beat League rivals Schalke.

The victory RB Leipzig secured means Bayern Munich slips to the second spot after they beat Schalke two goals to one. RB Leipzig defeated Schalke by two goals to one which was enough to help them secure the number one position on the table

The victory was adequate to provide RB Leipzig with the points required to secure top position; the victory sets a new record as they have now won nine successive matches and their last victory made it ten wins a row.

RP Leipzig took the lead just two minutes into the game at Red Bull Arena before the away team balanced the game in 31 minutes.

Bayern Munich had temporarily assumed the first position on the Bundesliga table after winning their last match against Mainz.

The Bavarians after winning their last game topped the table with goal difference not until RP Leipzig took back the number one position. Leipzig currently tops the table with three points ahead of Bayern Munich.

RP Leipzig has won ten of their games in a total of thirteen league games and drew only three giving them the small edge to remain as number one at the moment.

The Bavarians have won three of their last five matches drew one and lost one while RP Leipzig has won their last five.

Bayern Munich has also played 13 Bundesliga games and was able to get away with nine wins. The Bavarians suffered defeat three different times in the league and lost a single time in the league.

The Bavarians would have remained number one on the table if not an own goal from Sead Kolasinac which gave RP Leipzig a full three points. Even though RP Leipzig tops the Bundesliga table, the team has twenty goal differences which is two less than that of Bayern Munich.
